Back to School
The new-term stationery shop: on the homepage, your live prizes are written up on index cards and pinned to a cork noticeboard with coloured push pins, over a sheet of squared exercise paper with a red margin. In the week before your sale a timetable card taped to the board counts down to its start, and while it runs it counts down to the last day; the dates are your own, or every year for your region, northern, southern or South Asian. Paper, ink and pencil yellow by day, the classroom chalkboard by night, with a wooden ruler under the header, a chalk tray along the footer, a red-pen 404 on a marked worksheet, a pencil-case wallet, an honour board for the winners and a board eraser that wipes the screen clean for the dark/light switch. Use it all year: outside the sale it is simply a cheerful stationery shop.
