Harvest Table
A long table set for the family on Thanksgiving: on the homepage, three of your prizes stand on wood-slice serving stands along a plaid tablecloth, each with a handwritten place card, between a sheaf of wheat in a stoneware crock, tall candles, apples, pears, an ear of corn and a lattice pie, while maple and oak leaves drift down in warm autumn light. A countdown on a menu card, its numbers on rounds of wood, in the two weeks before Thanksgiving, and the greeting on the day, worked out for the United States (the fourth Thursday of November, through the long weekend) or Canada (the second Monday of October). Cranberry, mustard and oat by day; by night a candlelit evening at the same table. A plaid cloth hangs over the footer's walnut boards, and a gust of leaves blows across the screen for the dark/light switch. Use it all year: outside the season it is simply a warm autumn shop.
