Salesroom

A heritage salesroom on sale day, for stores whose heart is bidding: antiques, collectibles, art, cars and every other high-value lot. On the homepage the room's wall is hung in heritage-green damask (or oxblood, your choice) and your live prizes hang on it as catalogue lots, each in a carved gilt frame under its own brass picture lamp with an engraved lot plaque below, while the mahogany rostrum stands in front with the gavel resting on its sound block; the sale's title page sits beside them on cream catalogue paper with deckled edges, lot numbers and estimates set in small capitals between letterpress rules. When the page loads the catalogue opens, its pages turn to today's lots and the lots lift off the page onto the wall. Every lot card is a catalogue entry, bidding paddles rise when a bid lands, the live timer runs from "going once" to "going twice" in the last seconds and a red "Sold" stamp comes down when the hammer falls. Cream paper and ink black by day with oxblood and gilt; after dark the evening sale, lamplit, the wall deep and the gilt frames catching the light. A bidder registration card for the wallet, a sheet of hammer prices for the winners, a paid collection slip for each prize, a withdrawn Lot 404 for the missing page, and "going once, going twice, sold" for the dark/light switch: three catalogue sheets slapped down with three taps of the gavel, the last stamped sold, then swept off the rostrum. Set the sale number, its title and the wall colour in Salesroom → Sale; it is a good-looking shop all year, with no dates to keep.
