Cancellation Policy
Last updated 24 September 2026
What this covers
This Policy covers StartMyMarketplace membership plans — subscriptions that renew on a recurring billing period. A one-time product purchase is not a subscription and has nothing to cancel; see our Refund Policy for how those are handled instead.
How to cancel
Cancel any time from Dashboard → Membership, using the "Cancel at period end" button on your active subscription. This is self-service — you do not need to contact support or wait for anyone to action the request on your side.
When cancellation takes effect
By default, cancelling stops your subscription from renewing at the end of the billing period you already paid for — you keep your membership benefits until that period ends, then it will not charge again. Your dashboard shows the exact date your plan cancels once you've done this, the same way it otherwise shows the date it next renews.
In some cases — for example, a plan that has not yet started a paid period — cancelling ends the subscription immediately instead of at a future date. Either way, your dashboard tells you which one happened as soon as you cancel.
Auto-renewal methods
Membership renewal charges you automatically, using whichever method is active on the plan:
- Wallet balance — the renewal amount is deducted from your StartMyMarketplace wallet. You can turn this off from the same membership page without cancelling the plan itself, which simply means it will not renew unless you turn it back on or pay manually.
- Card / UPI mandate — the renewal is charged directly by the payment gateway to the card or mandate you approved when you subscribed. Turning this off cancels the standing mandate with the gateway itself, not just a setting on our side, so the gateway will not attempt to charge that card again for this plan.
Access after cancellation
Cancelling does not refund the period you have already paid for — you keep access and membership benefits through the end of that period, in line with our Refund Policy's position that a completed billing period is not refunded. Access ends when that period expires, not when you clicked cancel.
Reactivating
You can resubscribe from Dashboard → Membership at any time after cancelling, including after your access has ended. Reactivating starts a new billing period at the plan's current price, which may differ from what you paid before.
Contact
If cancelling from your dashboard doesn't work as described here, or you have a question about a specific subscription, open a support ticket with your account details.
