Carnival
The samba-school parade: on the homepage a carnival float rolls in under fans of ostrich plumes, carrying your prizes in sequinned medallions with their names on the float's gilded side, a bead fringe swinging along its skirt. Carnival is worked out from Easter every year, Saturday to Shrove Tuesday, with a countdown in the three weeks before and a greeting while the parade is on, or your own dates for cities that celebrate on other days. Magenta, gold, emerald and royal blue on sunlit cream by day, a night parade on deep aubergine by night, with a harlequin border, plumes rising along the footer, a Venetian mask for the season chip and a wave of flipping sequins for the dark/light switch. Use it all year: outside the season it is simply a shop dressed for the parade.
