Navratri

Your shop dressed for Navratri, nine nights of garba in September or October. The homepage is the dance ground seen from above: a garba circle of embroidered rings, running stitch, chevrons, a ring of little mirrors and crossed dandiya sticks, turns slowly round a big mirror, and your live prizes sit in round mirror-work frames around it. When the page opens the circle stitches itself ring by ring and the mirrors flash one after another. Nine nights, nine colours: through the festival the whole shop takes the colour of the night, one after the other from orange to peacock green, and the hero says which night it is; in the fortnight before, a row of mirror tiles counts down to the first night; on the ninth night each visitor is greeted once. The rest of the year the nine colours sit together as a band and the shop wears garba indigo, with no dates. Cream cloth by day and a deep indigo night sky after dark, with mirror silver and gold thread throughout; a carved poster face for headlines and a clean sans for reading. Mirror tiles for countdowns, the kutch hem along every panel, winners on mirror-work tiles around the circle, a pair of dandiya sticks that click when you bid or add to the cart, "This step is missing from the circle" for a missing page, and a dark/light switch where two dandiya sticks click and one sweeps a full turn, laying the nine colours round the circle before the night turns over. The dates, the festival's name and an off switch live on the theme's own admin page.
