Store Birthday

Your shop's own birthday, kept like a party at a good patisserie: on the homepage, a grand three-tier cake on a gilt stand — mint fondant hung with blush swags and strung with sugar pearls, a blush tier scattered with gold dragées and tied with a satin bow, a vanilla tier under a chocolate ganache drip — with presents opened either side of it, your prizes rising out of the tissue paper, balloons on curling ribbons above and party hats and sprinkles on the table. Enter the day the shop opened and the theme does the rest: in the two weeks before each birthday the shop's age stands on the cake in striped number candles and the homepage counts down — "Kiwi Mart turns 3 in" — then through a birthday week of your length it wishes "Happy 3rd birthday, Kiwi Mart!", in the shop's own name and in each language's own way of counting. Buttercream, strawberry and mint by day with chocolate for ink; after dark the party after the lights go down, the room lit by the candles on the cake. A strawberry fondant tier under a ganache drip for the wallet, three number candles with the middle one blown out for the 404, and candles that are blown out — their smoke curling up as the room goes dark — or lit one by one with a match until their glow fills the screen for the dark/light switch. Use it all year: with no date set, or between birthdays, it is simply a party.
