Big Match
A stadium on match night for cricket, football or American football: on the homepage, an oval ground seen from the stands, mown in stripes and marked out for the sport you pick, floodlight towers at its corners and a crowd of tiny lights round it, with a big LED scoreboard above that counts down to kick-off (or the first ball) in the two weeks before your match and turns to a match-day greeting on the day. Your prizes are match tickets, torn along the perforation, in front of the ground. Name the match and set the kick-off in your own time zone; the stumps and red ball, the goal and the ball, or the goalposts and the oval ball follow the sport everywhere, from the 404 (the ball in an empty stadium, 404 on the scoreboard) to the footer's pitch-side boards. A sunlit afternoon match by day, a floodlit night by dark, and the floodlights switch on bank by bank for the dark/light switch. Use it all year: with no match set it is simply a floodlit stadium shop.
