The joy of the first rain at a market stall: on the homepage, three of your prizes sit dry under a row of open umbrellas in chilli, peacock teal and violet, each with a paper price tag hung on a string from its rib, while gentle rain streaks down a grey-violet sky behind them, the sun breaks through the clouds, wet leaves shine at the edges and a glass of cutting chai steams on the counter. In the two weeks before your sale an enamel sign nailed to the counter counts down to its start on four paper tags, and while it runs it greets the rain and counts down to the last day; the dates are your own, or every year for your market: 15 June to 15 September for the Indian monsoon, or Borsha in Bangladesh, 15 June to 15 August. Rain-washed white and peacock teal by day; after dark a rainy evening, streetlights blurred on wet glass and warm light under the umbrellas. The scalloped edge of an umbrella runs under the header, drops gather and fall from the awning in the footer, the wallet is a rain-streaked window with chai on the sill, a paper boat runs aground on the 404, and for the dark/light switch an umbrella snaps open over the page, the mode changes in its shade and it folds away. Every other page wears the same stall: banners and product galleries set in a painted shop window under the awning, products behind rain-beaded glass, rows and badges as paper price tags, icons under little umbrellas, an umbrella seen from above for the spin wheel, misted glass to wipe on the scratch card and small rainy-day scenes for every empty page, payment result and error. Use it all year: outside the sale it is simply a cosy rainy-day shop.
